Tomato Peanut Sauce February 4, 2010

½ onion, chopped

3 T. oil

1 large bunch of sauce leaves

1 bouillon cube

2 – 3 T. peanut butter

2 – 3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 can of tomato paste

¾ c. water

Hot pepper, to taste


  1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil
  2. Add tomato paste, water, and sauce leaves
  3. Cover and simmer for 10 – 15 minutes
  4. Stir occasionally
  5. When leaves have wilted, add peanut butter and dried hot peppers
  6. Serve over rice
