Nathan and I went this last weekend to Hickory Nut Gap Farm for their 10th Anniversary Festival. We were invited by our friend (and wedding photographer!) Regina. I had heard of the farm before as its meat is served in several area restaurants. I was excited to go and see what they were all about.
We then headed into the store and picked up some food to take home.
We bought some ground beef, and Nathan got some beef jerky to snack on there. Asher even got a taste 🙂
They also had some local arts and crafts featured.
We then decided it was time to eat!
We grabbed some hot dogs made right there on the farm. I topped mine with coleslaw, onions, and mustard. Nathan had his with relish and ketchup.
And finished with dessert. A cupcake from Short Street Cakes!
It was a great day of sunny weather, good friends, and good food. And look for a recipe soon with the ground beef 🙂
